Objectives of this Action

Growing inequalities, persistent unemployment and environmental imperatives have come to the fore as priority policy issues. In that context, the social and solidarity economy (SSE) can contribute to building more inclusive and sustainable economies and societies. As part of the OECD and EU strategic objectives to promote inclusive, smart, resilient and sustainable growth, this project aims to:

  • support the SSE, including social enterprise development and internationalisation;
  • raise awareness and capacity to build conducive national and local ecosystems for SSE development;
  • promote knowledge and other exchanges at the international level.

How will this project achieve these goals? In addition to country fact sheets and thematic papers, the project will develop:

  • Peer-learning partnerships to exchange knowledge and experiences on the SSE and social entrepreneurship;
  • International guidance on legal frameworks for the SSE;
  • International guidance on social impact measurement for the SSE.

Objectives of this mapping survey

This survey is designed to address the key questions and challenges arising in the area of SSE in your territory, in particular on the topics of legal frameworks for SSE organisations and social impact measurement for SSE organisations. Other topics are nonetheless addressed. The survey also invites you to identify leading stakeholders in your territory and resources that could further nurture our understanding of the key issues at stake around SSE in your territory. Ultimately, your responses will contribute to the implementation of an analysis exercise conducted by the OECD in all EU countries as well as Brazil, Mexico, Canada, USA, India, and the Republic of Korea, in the framework of  this Action.

Through this Mapping Survey, OECD is collecting the following personal data: name, surname, affiliation and email address of the respondents.
